Forward Financing Surpasses 100,000 Small Businesses Served and Announces $1.8 Billion Forward Flow Agreement

BOSTON, MA — Bet on Main Street long enough, and eventually the bet pays off in a way you can measure. For us, that recently meant crossing 100,000 small businesses served and $5.4 billion in funding delivered since 2012, a milestone we shared just weeks ago. Now we’re putting new capital behind that same bet.

We’ve signed a new multi-year forward flow agreement with a New York-based private credit fund, which has committed to purchase up to $1.8 billion of advances over the next three years. In plain terms: more capital, ready to go, for the next wave of business owners who need it.

“Announcements like this are proof of something bigger: that small businesses are worth betting on,” said Jason Mullins, our President and CEO. “Crossing 100,000 businesses served since inception demonstrates the size of the need in the market. This new funding arrangement provides us with the additional capital to continue pursuing our mission to unlock the capital that fuels small businesses across America.”

The agreement is built to grow with us, scaling alongside our funding volume, and it backs our full product lineup, including revenue-based financing and business loans. It’s also the latest in a string of institutional funding moves we’ve made recently, part of a broader push to diversify where our capital comes from.

“A diversified capital base makes us more resilient, and it means our customers can count on us being there at the moment they need us,” said Christopher Chiou, our Chief Financial Officer. “That reliability is why they keep coming back.”

Behind the numbers, we’ve grown well past our Boston roots, with team members now working across the United States, the Dominican Republic, and Canada. That team has helped us earn a Great Place To Work® certification in both the US and the DR, and land a spot on this year’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country.

Our bet has always been a simple one: that the small businesses often overlooked by traditional lenders are exactly the ones worth backing. With $1.8 billion in new capital lined up, that bet is only getting bigger, and so is the number of business owners it reaches.
