Forward Financing Celebrates 100K Customers with #MilestoneMoments Campaign

August 10, 2026 | Company News

Forward Financing just crossed 100,000 small businesses funded. To mark it, we’re handing the mic to the people who earned it — and giving three of them $5,000 to keep building.

Numbers are easy to announce and easy to forget. So when Forward Financing recently funded its 100,000th small business, we didn’t want to talk about the number. We wanted to talk about the businesses behind it.

Since 2012, we’ve provided more than $5.4 billion in capital to over 100,000 small businesses across America — restaurants, contractors, retailers, salons, auto shops, and thousands of others who needed capital at the right moment and put it to work. The milestone is ours. The stories are yours. That’s the whole idea behind Milestone Moments.

What 100,000 actually means to us

When you’re a company that funds small businesses, it’s tempting to measure yourself in totals — dollars out the door, deals closed, quarters cleared. But 100,000 isn’t a scoreboard to us. It’s 100,000 separate decisions a business owner made to bet on themselves, and 100,000 times we got to be the ones who said yes.

That “yes” is the part we’re proud of. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, and too many of them still can’t get the capital they need to grow — often because traditional lenders weigh years-old credit history over how a business is actually performing today. We built Forward to read real-time cash flow instead, so we can fund the owners who get turned away elsewhere, and often do it the same day.

Reaching 100,000 tells us the work matters. It also tells us how much is left to do. There are millions of small businesses across America, and every one of them deserves a shot at the capital that lets them take the next step. This milestone isn’t a finish line. It’s a marker on a much longer road — and a moment to stop and thank the people who’ve walked it with us so far.

The many shapes of a moment

Here’s what we’ve learned funding 100,000 businesses: capital almost never means the same thing twice. It arrives at a different point in every story, and it does a different job each time.

Sometimes it’s about growth: the second location that had been a someday dream until the lease finally made sense, the walk-in cooler that let a caterer stop turning away weekend jobs, the delivery van that doubled a bakery’s reach.

Sometimes it’s about people: the first real hire that let an owner step off the floor, the crew brought on to take a bigger contract, the raise that kept a key employee from walking.

Sometimes it’s about timing: inventory bought ahead of the busy season, materials fronted for a job that pays in ninety days, payroll covered through a slow stretch so nobody felt the dip.

And sometimes it’s simply about staying in the game: the equipment repair that couldn’t wait, the surprise expense that would’ve sunk a lesser-prepared shop, the breathing room to make it to the other side of a hard month.

None of those are dramatic on paper. But to the owner living them, each one was the moment everything either moved forward or stalled. That’s a milestone moment. And we want to hear about yours.

Tell us yours

We’re inviting the small businesses we’ve funded to share a turning point that capital helped make possible. There’s no formula and no polish required — one real moment, told your way, beats a tidy highlight reel every time. We’re not looking for ads. We’re looking for what actually happened.

Three businesses with standout stories will each receive $5,000 to put right back into the work. A strong submission is specific (a real situation, a real outcome), a moment, not a résumé (one turning point told well), and about your own business — because who better to tell your story than you?

You can share your moment three ways, whichever’s easiest:

  • On the campaign page — upload your story, photo, or video at go.forwardfinancing.com/milestone-moments.
  • On Instagram — post it as a Reel or photo, tag #MilestoneMoments and @ForwardFinancing, and keep your account public so we can find it.
  • By email — send it to marketing@forwardfinancing.com.

Written stories run up to 500 words, photos need an original shot and a short caption, and videos are a quick 60–90 seconds shot on your phone — no high-end production needed. Submissions open August 10 and close August 21, with winners announced the week of August 24. Selected stories will be featured in our gallery and across Forward’s channels, so other owners can see what’s possible too. (A few quick rules apply — full contest terms are on the campaign page.)
