Eli Corbett

Chief Legal Officer

Eli Corbett is the Chief Legal Officer at Forward Financing, and she is responsible for corporate structure and governance, capital markets and fundraising, and government relations and regulatory strategy.

Prior to joining Forward Financing, Eli served as Deputy General Counsel at Affirm, where she led global legal, regulatory, and banking strategy for the publicly traded fintech. Her career spans nearly two decades across fintech, banking, and the federal government, including her years as a federal prosecutor and as one of the early employees of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where she helped build and structure the agency and rose to Acting Chief of Staff. Eli is a frequent speaker and published author on fintech regulation and banking law, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Foundation.

Eli is a graduate of UCLA School of Law and lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with her husband and two kids — who have successfully converted the whole family into proud Swifties.
