FF goes to Provincetown
Summer in New England means escaping the city for sand and a sea breeze in a coastal town. Forward Financing was lucky enough to do just that and spend a summer Saturday together on Cape Cod.
To round out the end of summer, the Forward Financing team headed to Provincetown for a day in the sun. As a member of the Culture Committee, I was lucky enough to have had a hand in planning how all 40 of us were going to spend the day. We wanted to ensure that we created an inclusive summer outing with activities that everyone would enjoy. We organized a full day in P-town that began with an early morning ferry ride and ended with some high-anticipated time on the beach. In between we enjoyed lunch at the iconic Lobster Pot restaurant followed by a guided historical walking tour of the town.
My favorite part of planning the outing was selecting the menu for our lunch. The restaurant was very accommodating for a group of our size- everyone was given the option to choose an entrée, a salad, and a cup of their award-winning chowder. The staff at The Lobster Pot was fantastic and certainly made our trip to Provincetown memorable.
As delicious as lunch was, I do have to say that watching everyone enjoy the beach was the best part of my day. Those of us who preferred to sit and relax wandered over to the Aqua Bar’s patio, which had a beautiful view of the ocean. From there we were able to watch the rest of our colleagues partake in a hilariously competitive game on Can Jam. Our summer outing was a great way to spend time with coworkers who we don’t typically have the opportunity to during the work week.
Thank you Forward Financing for helping us enjoy our last days of our New England summer!
